Phase-zero resistance meters are devices that, when the residual current reaches a set value, should cause the contacts to open. The operation of the RCD is based on the difference between phase currents and the current flowing through the neutral (in a single-phase system). If the current difference is higher than the RCD actuation current, the devices turn off the supply voltage.
